Ifoupdate

Just to let those who are interested know, the new version of ifoupdate seems to be working spot on now. Just done panic room and dog solders (in simple mode, single pgc) and they both passed Prassi Primo DVD compatibility checks where Inigma done with an older version, did not.

My mate could never play the films that I did using ifoupdate must give hime one of these new ripps and report back

My copy of ET that I have made using cce and ifoupdate still does not work on a mates dvd player, prassi says its fine they play on my dvd player , a sony dvd player but not his, comes up with check disc I think, also it does not play on a LG standalone

Anyone got any ideas

Will your friend's player work with any other DVD-R? Try getting an original movie that is DVD-5 so you don't have to process it. Just copy to disc and burn -- and see if that works. If not, he needs to get a player that supports DVD-R.

It works fine with dvd-r that are authered or copied from silvers, not the ones that go through the ifoupdate process

reempeg /ifoedit ones also (I don't use this any more crap results)

I'm stumped. I've never had a problem getting these to work on any players as yet. Are you removing anything from the original (e.g. with IFOEDIT) other than subs and audio?

Et has every stream that was in the original in the correct order.

Just doing Ali G now In the latest Nero (I have been using 5.5 80 as recommended but put this on to see what the problem is) it came up with can't reallocate files can't find VTS_01_4.VOB so I thought I would try something different.

Booted up ifoedit and selected vob extras strip streams (did not strip any) correct vob unit pointers etc and stripped it to another folder after it had done its stuff moved the rest of the files across

The latest Nero now excepted the vob sets no problem, I will be giving the disc to him tomorrow to see if it works
