Whats the best way to make a data dvd . Ive tried + and -media using nero . Neither will play in my computers samsung dvd player . Thanks

What version of Nero are you using ?

What DVD burner are you using ?

The latest version .17. I have a sony dru500a .The data dvds come out okay but can only be read by the dru500a my dvd rom (samsung sd 612) cant read them . Ive tried +r-r and +rw. Iwas wondering about settings in nero , joilet etc .And weather recordnow max or vob instant dvd might work better .

There are a few issues with the Sony DRU500a going around at the moment.

One I am aware of is concerning Verbatim media. Can't quite remember the full facts, but it is serious. ( You might notice that Verbatim discs are on cheap offer at present)

Might I suggest, you try your data disc in a friends DVD ROM drive and see if that works.

I would not be surprised if you have a slight compatability problem, but it's hard to say.

It might be worthtrying other burn programmes, but don't make too many coasters.
