There is a new capture program that support this TV card. It does capture very nice and you can choose variable resolution size on the settings. This program is design for Philips SAA 7133 or 7134 chip. It does utilise the potential of the chip. HOwever at this moment it is still buggy for me, but good enough to use. I happen to stumble on it since Virtual Dub and virtual VCR cannot support my Lifeview Flyvideo 3000 in full. Only manage to capture in 320*240. Hope this helps other Lifeview owners.

I try capture in 384*576 and 480*576.There are other resolution
size to choose from. The quality turn out to be very good I must say. It's sharp and crisp and I capturing from analog VCR. The tape that I'm using is poor quality. For those using Lifeview. Try it out yourself!

I'm back from testing!

The proggie is very good, thanks for that advice! It's got all the features you could ever need, including avi segmentation. Unfortunately it doesn't let me choose the I420 colorspace. In another thread I wrote that I need that colorspace or I'll get dropped frames.
Turned out that the wdm driver had to handle the HF tuner, the proggie itself wasn't able to activate the composite input. But that could be an issue of the often solitarily Terratec drivers.

Hey fellaw,

Good for you that this program works for you. At the moment for this version 2.8.5. I know that it drop frames when you try to capture at 25 Fps but doesn't drop when its 29.97. I'm using 1300 AMD Cpu and Via chipset..Doesn't get the lines u mention in other threads with Via chipset.

I have tested with PIC MJPEG at setting 19, YU2, 29.97 Fps, 480*576. Didn't drop a lot of frames but drop when I try quality 20. When I try to use 25 Fps same setting, It dropped like crazy after 20 sec of capturing. Either, i must test 25 Fps with other configuration or the program is buggy with 25 Fps. For Huyy codec, it drop like crazy at 29.97 Fps, my Hdd is 5400 RPM, that could be the answer. If u using Huff codec, in capture AVI option, set to RGB 555(16) if not, it won't work. At the moment I'm still experienmenting with this program. I think, at this moment, this is the only program that unleased the power of this philips chipset. Tell me if you know of others!

PS: For other user that is using Philip SAA 7133 or 7134 and is using this software. I hope you can share your experience with this software or other software that you using that can maximise the chip potential. That's too little documentation on this Philip chipset. Howewver, I think this is the chip that give good quality capturing. I may be wrong!! Let's us contribute so that we solve each other problems faster!!!

The lines where gone when I switched to the SAA7134 card, had a BT878 before.
I know another program which is also very good. It's called FlyDS. Unfortunately it doesn't have segmentation.
