Problems authoring with IfoEdit 0.95 (new guide)

After following all the steps in the new guide for Authoring with new version of IfoEdit (0.95), it all came good, except for one detail: when I put the burned DVD on my standalone player, the subtitles start at the same time as the film which means they're out of synch with video and audio. In the stream information of the vts_** file, it says that there's a delay of 4403ms, but when authoring in IfoEdit, only Audio has a box to put the delay. Need help here. Is there a way to enter this delay in subtitles?

Subtitle streams don't have a delay per se. Rather they have timestamps (that's why you need vobedit to extract them.. other programs don't save the timestamps when extracting the subs). However, it appears that the timestams are incorrect in your subtitle streams. I suppose it would be useful for derrow if you made your subtitle stream available for him.

I mean.. offer the .sup file for download so that derrow can have a look at the actual file to see what's going on with the timestamps.

Can't do that just right now, because after I burned the DVD, I erased all the files from my computer. But I'm going to try with another movie (Castaway-R2), that also has a delay, according to the stream information of the vts_** file. By the way, how can I offer the .sup file for download?

Usually your ISP provides some webspace for you.. upload it there, pm Derrow the URL where he can get it and add a link to that thread.

And just for you I repeat ripping rule 1: Never delete any files until you have verified that your rip is what you expect it to be. But then again I'm sure you know better by now ;)
