[this prog is outdated goto page 3 for info about the new program i am developing]

i wrote this program to generate avs scripts and encode it to avi.
u open a d2v file and choose crop/resize, inverse telecine/deinterlace, subtitles, conv3d preset..etc
it will allow u to edit the script before saving.
it includes bit calc and will help deciding the resolution.
it can also encode any avs into avi.

these programs r used (included in the installer):
-avisynth 2.06
-mpeg2dec2
-decomb
-tomsmocomp
-smoothdeinterlacer
-IT
-convolution3d
-vobsub
-avs2avi

read docs for these programs in the filters directory inside the program folder.

sure, i'll do it when i got home
but the package is less than 1 mb and all the programs r the latest.
u can also choose not to install avisynth and replace the filters in the \filters directory.

this is the Lite installer without avisynth or the filters read the file setup.txt inside \filters directory to know what files u need to get it to work.

right now i am using ur program insted of writting the avisynth script by the text editor and it helped me to use the filters which i dont know how to use them. but i have some suggestions and problems:

1\why u dont add audio encoding?
2\option to open avs file and edit it,other than the one created by the program
3\when i open the bitCalc and press fillLength and close it then open it again the fillLenhth botton does not work.

ok here is the new version.
whatsnew:
-u can do a compressibility test avs and load a stat file in the resize panel.
-u can subtract the size of anyfile in the calc (also more than 1)
-aspect ratio now takes into account the crop values (optional)
just crop any black bars in the crop panel. in the resize panel u only have to choose the aspect ratio that DVD2AVI shows (4:3 or 16:9) and tick "take crop into account" and u will have very accurate aspect ratio
-can open any avs file in the editor (maybe useful in compare/preview)
-minor bugs fixed

Good program, very fast encoder !
As suggestion :
1) Is possible to reintroduce in resize panel 2.35:1 as option ?
2) Make a button that do a compressibility test in automatic (now i must check compressibility test, save avs and then run it)
3) In encode avs put, directly, the last saved avs
4) In chose avi Name put %avsname%.avi

Any possibility to include the fabulus Besweet as audio trascoder (vob --> ac3/mp3/ogg) and nandub/oggmachine as joyner / cutter ?

1) no need for that cuz i think there is only 2 display aspect ratios regarding the source 16:9 and 4:3 (the one dvd2avi shows) including the bars. when u crop the bars the correct aspect ratio will appear in the resize panel if u ticked the "take into account crop values"
in special cases (for eg. calculating valid resolutions for a given aspect ratio) use custom aspect ratio. if u need that for something else tell me and i'll add it.

2)the reason why i don't make the compression test automatic is:
-u can use different options in the first pass
(for eg. u can see the difference with B-frames and without)
-i use xvid and the api for xvid is changing much. it is different in different versions and it will change more in the future.

what a strange thing! the file disappeared from my site.

what windows do u have?
try to register ezavi26.ocx manually and tell me if this helps.

I usually rips subtitle with SubRip and use bsplayer the play avi with subtitle files..., actually "vobsub yv12" isn't on top of my wishlist :p

Would be a VERY NICE features to keep tracks (in xvid) of all quant utilized and wich quant ..., but i think it is a features to add to avs2avi ...:rolleyes: i will use degubview :( ( Damn'it, often i forget to launch degugv :angry: )
Filters are ok ! and useful :D

And, of course, BeSweet support ...

nope Nod32 (virus scanner i use) is deactivated and still no effect
im now quiet sure that Directx 9 make the problems but i can't test cause i can't go back could somebody with the latest Directx 9 test it please ?

OK,
i finished a lot of the GUI of the new program,
this program targets the advanced users not the complete newbies in the sense that it does not take any automatic decisions but leaves all decisions to the user. It might be very handy as a GUI for decomb or as a resolution calc and many other jobs which i am trying to keep independent from each other.

1) Source Tab: Good. What's about "frames selection" ? Trim ? And can be possible to do multiple trim ?

2) Field Operation Tab: i live and like in Pal land. But it's a very good tab. What about DGBob and separatefields ? .I like very much the possibility to preview and filter change.

3) Crop&Resize Tab: very, very, very good. Just missing addborders, vertiacalReduction2,HorizontalReduction2.

What about a "Fit2cd" resize calculator ? for a pseudo-automatick crop&resize&addborders for vcd/svcd/dvd resolution ?

4) More filters Tab: i can suggest: mipsmooth, fluxsmooth, blockbuster, cnr2, dup, tweak color, grayscale,avisythmonitor, assumefps,convertfps,turn.

5) Is avs editable ?

Missing tabs:
Subtitles: srt,idx/vob selection (and preview)
Besweet: varius lame preset,hybridgain, delay from dgmpgdec, oggenc...
Audio muxing tab: or in avs, but better launcing vdm or avimux
BitRate calculator
