hi all,
when i loaded up smart ripper i got an ASPI error saying i dont have it.. so i looked on the downloads section and downloaded and installed forceAspi 1.7 the error dissapeared so i thought i had solved the problem. Then i downloaded ASPI checker and it said: ASPI is properly installed, but one of the helper drivers has failed to initialize (0xE3).
Is this a problem or going to be a problem with any dvd ripping and stuff?

thanks
dazza

Actually smart-ripper doesn't need aspi at all, but it might fail to initialize the DVD if you don't have aspi installed and don't play it with a software player first. If you don't have any errors when starting smart ripper you are fine.

i got an aspi error the very first time i loaded up smart ripper so i installed aspi and its gone now.. but that helper driver thing displayed when i opened aspi checker thats not going to be a problem i guess?
