ok heres the deal... i ripped and encoded a dvd but theres a big glitch in one spot. so i redid the encode and the glitch is still there. so i redid it again with fast deinterlace instead of feild deinterlace and and the glitch wasn't there but it had them in different areas. so i snipped out the good part from the one and the bad part from the other but it has an extra 5 frames on the begining of the good part that i stuck in and and if i delete those 5 frames and put direct stream copy and save it to avi those 5 frames are still there so hoe do i go about keeping those 5 frames off? i think i might be able to do it with avi defreezer and cut them there but it would be nicer to do it in vdub...

Hi-

You can do it by reencoding the good part and making sure a keyframe is set after every 5 frames. Then cut out the first 5 frames and splice it in as before. Another way is to make an .avs for the good part and use the Trim(5,0) (isn't the first frame numbered as zero?) command to reencode without those 5 frames to begin with.
