Derrow,
I think something's going in my computer but I've downloaded v0.95 four times and when I execute the program, the title says IfoEdit v0.94 at the top. Now, I can go to the "About" button and it does correctly say IfoEdit version 0.95.
Is it just me? My computer is virus free after scan.
I downloaded it from http://doom9.org

Derrow,
I think I found an answer to my dilemna. I wanted to purge out ifoedit 0.95 so I did a file search for ifoedit* in all my drives. I did bother looking into registry cause I knew nothing would be in there pertain ifoedit.
Besides the new ifoedit zipped file I came up with...
c:\Windows\ifoedit.ini
c:\Windows\APPLOG\ifoedit.lgc
c:\Windows\APPLOG\ifoedit.1.lgc
c:\Windows\APPLOG\ifoedit.2.lgc
c:\Windows\APPLOG\ifoedit.lgg
The only thing I did in the beginning was unzip the ifoedit0.95 and extracted the new ifoedit.exe into the same directory as my ifoedit 0.94 and replace the old one. I already had a shortcut in my startmenu.
Hmmm, I noticed the multiples of ifoedit.lgc's. I don't know what kind of file it describes but I think that one of those was from 0.94. Since you didn't have a deinstall for purging out any old stuff, I went and delete all the files above anyway.
Did another unzip and executed 0.95 and what do you know, it's title is back to ifoedit 0.95.
Just out of curiousity, I went to do another search on ifoedit* after first restart and came up with just a c:\Windows\ifoedit.ini this time. Opening it up in notepad, only this was in it:
[IfoEditApp]
WP=MCAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPJGAAAAAAOEAAAAAAIBEAAAAACPCAAAAA
Again for testing purposes, I changed the WP line by just adding "XXX" in front of MCA..., saved, and restarted ifoedit.exe and I was back to ifoedit 0.94. :(
My theory is that my installing the 0.95, without purging previous files of ifoedit 0.94, over the old had somehow corrupted the ini file and thus I was reverted to the old title. I don't know if the .lgc and .lgg had anything to do with changing the program title.
It doesn't affect operations but it is sort of misleading.

hmm, something similar happened to me:
1. i open any vts_01_0.ifo -> 0.95 opens the ifo-file.
2. i click on the "DVD Play" button and let the movie play for a few secs.
3. i close ifoedit 0.95.
4. i click on the ifo-file again, and ifoedit 0.94 opens, but is minimized as a button -> clicking on this button to restore the window exhibits an empty ifoedit 0.94 screen.
5. i close and click on the ifo file again: 0.95 is running this time... very strange.
:confused:
i have not investigated further in this matter b/c it hasn't bugged me too much, and i'm still busy experimenting with the authoring features.
DA
EDIT:
just like you, 2cool, i have only replaced the older files by overwriting them with the new ones.
