deinterlacing PAL

the dvds i am trying to encode are the Futurama and Family Guy dvds...

how do i deinterlace the pal source with decomb properly? i used all the combinations of telecide and decimate and there is still a heavy ghosting effect as a result of the blending.

has anyone managed to encode these dvds to divx successfully without the annoying ghosting effect?

Use blend=false to avoid ghosting with fielddeinterlace and telecide. Or try GreedyHMA(1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0)
