Learned Colleagues:

Used GordianKnot to IVTC a file and got a valid AVI file from that...works fine in Windows Media.

Now when I try to encode that file I get an error message from CCE that says "0 Bytes expected 8 Bytes" or something to that effect.

OK, what did I do wrong?

Thanks for the help,
Zep

I had demuxed the audio and forgot to set the "Fool CCE" option in GordianKnot so I'm assuming that it was the lack of the audio track that caused my problem...

im not sure how gordonknot works, but when you say it created an avi file, is that a huge avi (which took a while to save) or a small avi that acts as a frame server (like VFAPI or Avisynth) to pass the the frames from program to program?

i just tryed encoding a true avi with video only with the latest CCE (2.66 with a .04 on the end), and it seemed to encode it fine, even though it was a 2.5gb AVI2 file (only DirectShow officially supports over 2gb avi), altho i have heard reports that cce on athlons require the resampleaudio(44100) in the avisynth script, which is possibly your problem.

good to see you got it going tho ;)
