Hey all.

I got a flyvideo 98 FM ages ago and i'm trying to capture video from a vca (rca input). I can watch any source at up to 720x(some other res) but i usually go for 640x480.

A problem arises when i try to record of the cap card.

When using virtual dub i can't record above 352x288.
When i go beyond that (640x480) (in any color format) i get:
Error 481 : Unsupported video format.
and trying to record greets me with a:
Error 425 : Out of memory for video buffers.
Other problems give me the same out of memory error.

Why is it that i can watch fullscreen 640x480 video but can't record beyond 352x288?
Is it my card? or my system:
Athlon T-Bird 800
512mb ECC-SDRAM
2x 80gb segate (raid-0)
Matrox Millenium G400 (single head 16mb)
LifeView Flyvideo 98 FM (bt848 chipset i think or 878)

Thanks

My guess is that the drivers are to blame.
Try Btwincap drivers.

U BLOODY LEGEND.

Thoes drivers are awesom thanks a lot.

Also found the problem to be the way windows pre-buffers 4 frames in a dodgy way. Never had the problem in linux but because of the absence of decent PAL-B standard decoding all my videos came out black and white.

Thanks
