2 disk split not working?

Trying to split a disk that has 4 one hour eps on it. (each in their own pgc) and when I do it seems to ignore where I try to split at, it just put about 7gb in on dir and dumps about 300mb into the other.

This happens reguardless of if i use the preslected break point or pick my own.

any ideas?


Also, before this I tried to just reauthor each stream in maestro by using DVd decrypter to rip each PGC one at a time... vob edit stipped the streams well but for some reason Maestro see the video as about half its actual running time... strangeness.

Well I found an eventual work around. The DVD is the 24 box set. I had originally thought to just do a 2 disk split, then I noticed that each epsoide was in its own PGC so I "Tried" to have DVD decripter rip and demux each eps for me, but decrypter was acting strange and not actually demuxing so I figured Ok, well since it stipped everything else I'll just demux it with vob edit... but no go there either, after vobedits demux the file I loaded into dvd maestro was WAY to short...very odd.

Each eps has only 1 chapter though there is a second chapter listed that is about 5 seconds of blank black video, but even after stripping that it wouldnt work.

Finally I used that cheasy DVD2DVDR program that that german guy wrote (cheasy I say because it only works for PAL right now when reencoding) and used it to strip the eps out minus the 5 second chapter, THAT loaded in correctly, so I just made the worlds most basic menu to select which eps I want to watch.

So its working but I dont quite understand what the problem was to begin with...

Oh yeah and the guide on menus in maestro on this site is awsome, I just wish my photoshop skills were a little better... ok I wish I had any at all...

I'm having the same problem with the splitting function. On Stargate SG-1 First Season R1, when I try to split a DVD with four episodes I get all the VOB's in disc one or all the VOB's in disc 2, but they never split into 2 discs, regardless of the split point I choose. I have been splitting discs for quite awhile, and this is the first time I have had problems, but after reading some of the posts here, I am obviously not the first one to notice. I think this is either a bug in IfoEdit or the DVD authoring process has changed, and Derrow needs to made aware of the problem. I have also tried a bunch of older versions of IfoEdit, and I could not find any version that would split the disc successfully.

Same exact problem as Snidely. Neither the latest version (0.95) nor a prior version (0.91) will split my DVD. All of the VOBS go to DISC1. I noticed in Doom9's guide, that version 0.89 was the first to permit this function, but cannot locate that version on Derrow's site nor elsewhere. Could this be the only version that truly supports splitting to two DVD+-R's?
