I want to do subtitle imports and I want to do an upgrade. Currently, I'm just using Spruceup but the lack of subtitles is starting to bug me more each time I author. Can anyone recommend me a good DVD authoring program that will do subtitles and more?

I have a Sony DRU-120a DVD+R/RW and running win98 SE right now. I have an Athlon 850. I'm willing to change my operating system platform to satisfy the authoring program requirements.

Okay, let me make a simple request...

Scenarist is associated with which operating system platform?
DVD Maestro is associated with platform
ReelDVD...
DVD Studio Pro...

It may seem like a simple question but for the heaven sake!, when I go to their websites, all they give me are features but not what operating system I need to have to run them.

Can anyone help me out?

try these product pages (which are all easy to get to, except the spruce one, which are left over files from ages ago)

DVD Studio Pro: http://www.apple.com/dvdstudiopro/ (the url should give you a large hint)

DVDMaestro: http://www.spruce-tech.com/products/dvdmaestro.html or http://www.spruce-tech.com/products/key_features.html

ReelDVD: http://www.sonic.com/products/reeldvd/
