I have Gainward GeForce4 Ultra 650 XP capture card which virtualdub can access in vfwwdm wrapper mode, but only if the composite video input is selected. It fails with s-video input.

Any suggestions why this happens.

Probably a driver incompatablity. I however can select every input on my AIW radeon 8500. Capture/source should bring up the dialog for your capture driver selections. What does it do when you try to select s-video? Crash? Nothing shows up?

Hi
Ive got the s-video to work but now I am having problems locking on to ntsc source. No amount of fiddling with frame rates etc seem to help. I dont get an option to change from pal to ntsc.

Any suggestions??

Hmm, is there an option in your capture properties under Capture/Source to change the format? Mine is set to NTSC and I'm able to put in 29.97fps in the Capture/Settings Dialog.

Hi
I managed to lock the frame rate after a great deal of fiddling with the program.
I also noted that the rate defaults to 29.9706.
When you feed this into avi2svcd (DVD2SVCD), it come up with an error as it reads this as 29.971!!!

Anyway, thanks for the support.
I have things working at the moment.
