I have looked around in doom9 but I haven’t found an answer to a problem that I have with the new studio 8 and DC10+ card (studio 8 AV box).
I can capture with my firewire card from my TRV-9 sony without a problem. When I try to capture the same tape or any other tape using the svideo or RCA inputs of the DC10 the capture is has a dark color (the source is either my camera or a VCR). It is almost like there is a dark filter applied to it. I’ve used all available resolutions (good, better, best, custom) but the captured footage has the same problem. I have played with the light controls and I have made it almost OK (???) but it is not as good as I would like. I do understand that this is an analog capture but there is an actual problem since the color is meshed up.
I’m using XP Pro and NVIDIA GeFORCE2 with video out and the latest drivers installed…
I have the latest patch installed (that did NOTHING)
I emailed pinnacle (that did NOTHING)
So I rely on your experience or knowledge to get through this issue.
Is it possible that the card has a problem or is this a known issue with the DC10+ or studio 8 (maybe)?
