I started off using Datasafe Media (the blue & white disc) they gave me so much problems with them only getting to about 1hr & a bit into movies before they started freezing and then returning to the menu screen, so I switched to FWS as I heard they were reliable and also under a £1 a disc in a pack of 50, but these do just the same thing. Played them in numerous standalones and even my pc the same thing. So my question is do I have to go for the top brands to get relibility or is there a brand that stands head and shoulders above the rest (for under a £1 a disc perferably)

this is strange you say that the disk does the same in your computer
what are you playing the disk with on your burner or a dvd rom ?
i have had problems with disks not playing on my standalone
but they all played on my computer!
my problem was the media quality now i have changed everything is
fine
what burner are you using?
what software are you burning with?
the disks i use are datawrite classic 85p each
the burner is a pioneer ao4 with 1.30 firmware these disks burn at
2x so far i have burnt 50 with no problems
