Weired quality on skin of characters.

I encoded my movie in 2CD high quality 2-pass.
All is good but the skin. I's not awful, but i dont like it.
what can i do

Define "not aweful, but I don't like it". If you don't give us information we can't help you.

1) Maybe a picture of what it looks like.
2) The settings you used to encode the movie.
3) Avisynth script you used.

I'm not totally sure about what slakouze is saying.

But my bet is that (if he isn't using any filtering or pre/post procesing only using divx 5 plane) the problem is divx5 itself. One of the reasons because XviD likes me a lot it's because when I've done 2 encodes of the same movie (one with divx5 one with XviD) the XviD encode retains more detail in human skin even if both look really good.

You could have a very looking movie with Divx5 and notice very well the absence of detail in faces, human skin in general....

By the other hand, human skin could have easily in a little portion of the image a lot of detail, more than the general detail of the background or other objects this is why you could see well the general movie and not the skin if the bitrate isn't high enough. Not only because you are using Divx5;)

what can i doHigher bitrate or other codec... maybe another resizing method also helps (some resizing algos smooth too much)

I think you mean the smoothing of skin that appears extremely annoying in Realvideo 9 movies (that's why I only use RV9 for cartoons)
I sometimes even find a DVD already looks like this (as an example I have Cruel Intensions, Region 2, PAL that has definitely been pre-filtered a little too much...)
