I've never read anything on this website about adjusting the Performance options within VDub. If anyone can hyper-link an article on it I would appreciate it.

My main question is should I adjust/mess with the default Performances options w/i VDub?

My defaults are this:
> AVI OUTPUT BUFFERING = 2MB
> WAVE INPUT BUFFERING = 64KB
> STREAM PROCESSING DATA PIPELINING = 32

My system =
> INTEL P2-450MHZ Processor (I know... its older but all I got)
> 384MB of system memory
> Win2000 Pro Operating System
> UltraATA 7200rpm harddrive running on a 133MHz Bus

For me to do a complete 2Pass job thru Gknot (thru VDub) using a 2CD size with the Avg Bitrate at around 1500kBits/sec takes my computer about
14-17 hours

I've never noticed any difference in changing/not changing those settings. But I haven't tested it with a stopwatch in hand though.

I was also wondering about this feature, being completly new to this program and was wondering if changing this setting would increase performance since i'll will be having 2 GB of memory shortly. I was wanting to know if putting aside a lot more memory would icrease performance?
