Can't play movie, but all else is fine ??? What about VOBEDIT?

Ok, I had a region problem before, but got that fixed thanks to some reading over here

But now, I have found a new problem of course... I cannot play the movie or go to a certain chapter of it... I am speaking of the 1st disc (Spiderman DVD Widescreen). I have removed all P-UOPs and removed all region checking on all VTS IFOs... additionally, I cannot even get the DVD (movie, menus, extras, anything) to play on WINDVD or other software players.

If this is too big of a problem to solve, then is there anybody who knows how to use VOBEDIT, so I can demux the VOBS into the appropriate streams I need? Or if there was VOBEDIT documentation, that would be helpful too. I've tried using VOBEDIT, but when I click "ok" to DEMUX, it just brings me back to the regular VOBEDIT screen and nothing happens!!

I'm having the same problem. The menus work but when I try to play the movie the menu goes away and it starts playing the menus opening sequence again and taking right back to the same spot. Same thing happens when I goto the chapter selection menu and try to jump to a chapter. I am able to view the different chapters with the IFOedit preview button if I load the VTS_01_0.IFO file. Also on the second disc when I modify the first play command to play a chapter first it give me an illegal navigation error. Both the movie and the menu are in title set 1 if that helps anyone.

I have the same problem. I routinely split rented DVD's to 2 rewritable DVD's to watch later (time shifting) - have done this at least 20 times with other movies without a problem. Although the split Spiderman DVD's play OK with Power DVD on my computer, they keep looping on my Apex set top player and I don't get anywhere. I guess something tricky was done as a new form of copy protection.

I was able to rip, encode and burn fine.... Don't forget to remove RCE on EVERY ifo file.... after that, all the streams play fine.

I wish that were the case... I ripped the DVDs the same way I've done before... damn... wish I knew what the problem was this time... cause now I'm stuck with 14GB of Spiderman on my hard drive til I figure out what to do lol

Did you remove any of the streams from the video.ifo... I tried that at first to get rid of the columbia trademark but then the video would not play. When i put it back it played fine.
