@tiki4,
Have you try the latest audigy driver which packed from audigy2 driver, it's dated 09/20.
Finally I could hear the Vorbis 5.1 but the channel mapping is
still problem imho, not all sound can be heard. hmmm... :(
PS. I was just update, not fresh install.
I'll try to do fresh install tonight.

Hehe,
luckily I did see that thread today, otherwise... How about writing PM to me? However I didn't try any new drivers since the August release. The problem with 6ch Vorbis still is there but as AC3 finally is working in OGM (even two of them) my demand for MC Vorbis isn't that great anymore (one easily gets clipping when the quality level is decreased). However I'll take a look into these A2 drivers. Are they fully compatible to the Audigy 1? I don't have time to do a clean install this week. Maybe next week. My landlady (is that the right word?) wants to visit me tomorrow :(

@tiki4,
Sure, I agree with you, for MultiChannel, I prefer to keep the
original AC3, Ogg Vorbis is just for downmix AC3 5.1 -> Surround2 Vorbis.
Since the 5.1 Vorbis is using different channel mapping with the
Dolby AC3, so the result is not as good as I think especially the
playback problem. Thank you to the ChannelDownmix.ax which finally
solve the playback problem.
PS. The latest driver 09/20 is not much improvement, better stay with
the old 08/12.

@ookzDVD:
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I didn't find this latest driver yet. Is it for Audigy 2 only? AFAIK the new Audigy is no longer compatible to to the EMU chipsets as it uses the chipset of another manufacturer (or is that wrong)?
However the ChannelDownmixer isn't really fun to use as it screws up AC3 playback for me (those seem to be mapped in the right way for the Audigy driver). Vorbis MC playback works in Winamp with in_vorbis 1.2.9 by selecting 'remap 6 channels' (guess that's the same what ChannelDownmixer in 5.1 setup does). Anyway I hope Vorbis supports MC natively in not the far future. I tried to reencode my 5.1 AC3 files to a lower bitrate (even 256 kBit was stated somewhere) with BeSweet but I get strange clippings when music is playing. I don't know what I did wrong as I followed the guides. I also heared that when encoding to MC Vorbis at -q 0.3.
So long,

@tiki4,
The latest "leak" driver for Live/Audigy/Audigy2 can be downloaded from the url below :
http://fernando.darocha.free.fr/sblive-audigy.htm
Sorry, it's in French :(
Btw, the channeldownmix really screws up the AC3 playback if you use the Intervideo or Cyberlink DSF, but not with MoonLight, it will produce nice playback ;)
MultiChannel Vorbis is really not used much by people imho, that's why
no support and bug report/fix :(
