Hi people,
i am having a big problem: After encoding with dvd2svcd úsing CCE I get amovie with brillant picture and sound (so far the good news). The bad news is that after approx. 20 Minutes playing in my DVD player the movie is starting to freeze for some seconds and then continues. The more the movie takes the more it is freezing. One more thing is I don´t have any time count displayed on my player. My player is a Panasonic RV 32 und the appears with/without subtitles.
Any ideas?
Thanx in advance
Randy

Could be a bunch of things.
Panasonics are known to be pretty bad at playing SVCD's, but some do.
Have you tried to slow down your CD-R burn to as slow as your burner goes or 4X whichever is greater?
Have you tried different media?
Does this happen when you play the SVCD in your computer?
Have you tried to play the bbmpeg_muxed_file.mpg files in WinDVD or PowerDVD to see if they are OK?
If the files themselves are messed up post your DVD2SVCD_Log.txt file using cut and paste, not attach.

I have the same problem; what's stranger is that sometimes, when I try to put the mpv/mpa files into TmpGenc DVD Author, it says the bitrate is higher than it should be... while Bitrate viewer says it's fine (lower than 9000).
Encore DVD accepts the files but the DVD freezes a lot on player. When I put the same DVD disc into my PC, there is no problem on playback...
Can anybody help please?
TIA,

If the disc plays OK on the PC, DVD2SVCD has done its bit. This smacks of media your Encore player doesn't like.
Many of the online media sellers will give you the ADVD info fom their discs. This tells you what dye was used in manufacture.
Ritek G04 dye gives the most widely compatible DVD-R's. I don't use DVD+R at the moment - they are expensive where I live and the -R's work just fine. I'm told Ricoh are good though.
I wouldn't worry too much about the error from TMPGEnc DVDAuthor. But if different media doesn;t help, try lowering the max by, say, 500. You never know.

Thanks a lot for your fast reply Nick.
I already tried different bitrates but this didn't change the situation. I'm gonna try to change the media.
Many thanks.
