However, ive got 2 problems 1st i want to speed up the process im using smartripper, ifoedit & rempeg2 to keep only the film im running an amd1300 with 256 ram (advise) secondly im wanting to kepp a copy of terminator 2 ive ripped it to my hard drive no probs, created new ifo and vidts with ifoedit encoded the vid stream which is ok but my problem comes after remuxing the vid stream ive got a very jerky picture which pauses every second, whats going on

Try remuxing with ifoedit 0.6 or the newer 0.94 (if you are not already using it):)

What version of the Terminator 2 movie are you trying to backup?
the old version or the Ultimate Edition
I backed up the old version without any problems using ReMpeg2 and IfoEdit 0.91 (P4 1.7 256 RIMM)
Maybe the problem could be the start logos(like the Warner Brothers pictures)
Remove the logos and warnings and try again!

i dont yet know how to remove the logos but i dont think its that the mv2 file doesnt have this jerkyness yet the whole remuxed film does.... how long does it take rempeg2 with a 1.7 chip?

with the 1.7 cpu ReMpeg2 takes 7 hours average
You didnt tell me what version of the movie you have?
You can remove the logos splitting the chapters from the movie with IFOEDIT
I had the same problem with Harry Potter( the intro logos look fine but the rest of the movie is blocky)....so I cut the logos and that solved the problem)

it was term2 spec edition

ive not yet found out how to split chapters does this mean you can remove the last 2 chapters of a film and lose the credits as some films(ali g i think) was just too big and losing the chapters and logos may have meant i didnt need to remux.

ive visited your website is this for info only or can you down load ripped dvds from this site if not is there any one with a server big enough to do this

my web site is a simple list of my movies( audio and Subs)
In the IFOEDIT site you can find a guide to split the movie in 2 DVD-R. Use the same method to split the logos and the end or in the begining
I burn sucessfully the old Terminator 2 Edition maybe you can try with that one
