View Full Version : BCXBuilder make's the first cd image file incomplite

im using DVD2SVCD to rip "the conspiracy theory" on 2 cd´s, and BCXBuilder keeps on making the first cd image file incomplite (CD_Image_File_CD1.bin is about 500 Mb when it should be 800). When i record the 2 cd's, the second one is perfect and de first contain only half of what it should contain.

This is not the first time it does this... it did the sime when i´d try to rip "U2 Elevation tour".

Help!!!!!!!!

I'v been using the recovery function on dvd2svcd from "pulldown" lots of times to try fixing the problem... it allways cuts the firs cd at 520 MB.
i don't want to encode the video again, besides this is not the firs time it happends and there is no reson not to happend again. I don't tink i can stand the 48 hours that took TMPGEnc to encode the movie.

i tink its something about the muxing. I havent wanted to disable the "add SVCD san offsents" option from bbMPEG even i know it could help, but having unspected cosecuences.

my life its dedicated to this movie this weekend, so please help.

I honestly don't know what to tell you. I can't see anything obviously wrong.

I can offer an alternative that should work.

First play both the BBmpeg_muxed_file.mpg files in PowerDVD or WinDVD to make sure they are OK. Don't use Media Player. They seem to be from the log.

If they are you have two choices on how to burn these. The first is to use Nero's SVCD template and just burn the mpg files. You will loose chapters, but you won't loose your subs since they are permenant. Make sure you are using a very recent version of Nero. Probably best if you have the current version.

If you want chapters you have two choices. The easiest is get VCDEasy and use that to create your chapters and burn the images.

A little more diffcult, but there is a guide on Doom9 is to use TSCV.

All of this is assuming the mpg files are fine, but like I said accoeding to the log they look fine.

Pos: i'd try disabling the "add svcd scan offsets" option and the enage was created correctly... i'll see if synch is ok on my dvd player
