@DSPGuru:

Greetings,

Thanks for releasing new versions of BeSweet, you're doing great job! :)

But I have some things I want to discuss.

1. Why is not possible using normal gain (like in v1.4)? BeSweet 1.53 gives me always hybridgain. Here is the log:

BeSweet v1.5b3 by DSPguru.
--------------------------
Using azid.dll v1.8 (b825) by Midas (midas@egon.gyaloglo.hu).
Using Ogg Vorbis v1.0 dlls (http://www.vorbis.com).

Logging start : 11/01/02 , 11:11:08.

You can see total azid's gain 10db, dialog normalization and post gain, but I wanted only -ota pre gain. Am I doing something wrong? I have used the same settings as I use with v1.4.

2. -ota( -hybridgain ) is heavy clipped as you can see from attached picture (I can hear heavy clipping in these parts). Using 1.2.9 in_vorbis for Winamp 2.81 and OggDS 0.9.9.5. Here is the log:

BeSweet v1.5b2 by DSPguru.

Using azid.dll v1.8 (b825) by Midas (midas@egon.gyaloglo.hu).

3. Just currious. Why have you removed rehuff support in v1.53b.

Thank you

Here is the log:comparing v1.5b2 with v1.5b3 logfile i conclude there's a problem with Surround2 when PostGain ignores the PreGain value (15.6 instead of 5.6).

3. Just currious. Why have you removed rehuff support in v1.53b.Segher, author of rehuff asked me to remove it.
he says this feature is currently only in experimental stage, and should be a part of ogg/vorbis only when finished.

thank you for paying my attention to Surround2+HybridGain situation.

Just wondering why BeSweet use hybridgain (azid's gain 10db, dialog normalization and post gain) when you've not specified it. -ota( -g max ) means pre gain, doesn't it? So why is used hybridgain if you (and me) haven't specified it?? It should be something like that, am I right?

Hi, I've been using BeSweet for some time now. Excellent program btw :) However I see some switches I'm not familiar with in the BeSweet v1.4 example above.

-azid( -F wav32 ), according to the AZID Readme v1.8 the only possible values are wav, wav24, wav_float, pcm, pcm32, pcm_float.

-ogg( --two-pass -q 6.00 ), according to BeSweet 1.4 ogg.txt it lists -rehuff instead of --two-pass. Also for quality-based encoding shouldn't this be between 0 and 1 like 0.600?

Is there somewhere I can find a more complete list of switches for these programs?

-ogg( --two-pass -q 6.00 ), according to BeSweet 1.4 ogg.txt it lists -rehuff instead of --two-pass.correct. further more, as you could read above (http://www.xiph.org/archives/vorbis-dev/200211/0015.html), in v1.5, this feature was removed. also, please follow some links in my signature and use this forum's search engine, as avobe elaborates - there's a lot you can learn from old posts :).
