I'm backing up The Slayers and have hit a roadblock. I need help fixing the Menu selection of my backup DVD. The structure of the DVD is as follows:

DVD contains 6 episodes, all located in VTS_02

Episode 1 uses VOBID 5
Episode 2 uses vobid 6
Episode 3 uses vobid 7
Episode 4 uses vobid 8
Episode 5 uses vobid 9
Episode 6 uses vobid 10

I sucessfully used IfoEdit to split the DVD onto 2 DVDRs.
Episode 1-3 on Disk 1
Episode 4-6 on Disk 2

Everything works perfect, except for 1 little detail. The problem is as follows: When I go to the Menu on Disk 2 and try to use the Episode Selector to jump to an episode, it jumps to the wrong episode. Here is what happens:

Select Episode 1, it jumps to Episode 4
Select Episode 2, it jumps to Episode 5
Select Episode 3, it jumps to Episode 6
Select Episode 4, it jumps to Episode 4
Select Episode 5, it jumps to Episode 4
Select Episode 6, it jumps to Episode 4

I'd like to change this so that Selecting Episode 1-3 (which are not on Disk 2) always takes you to Episode 4 or Takes you to the menu or even disable these butons. Then, I'd like the selection of Episode 4-6 to work correctly.

Can anyone tell me where or what I should be looking at to try and fix this? Is what I want to do even possible?

By the way, Disk 1, which contains Episodes 1-3 works perfect. This is what happens when using the Episode Selector on Disk 1:

Select Episode 1, it jumps to Episode 1
Select Episode 2, it jumps to Episode 2
Select Episode 3, it jumps to Episode 3
Select Episode 4, it jumps to Episode 1
Select Episode 5, it jumps to Episode 1
Select Episode 6, it jumps to Episode 1

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can someone tell me if what I want to fix possible? Would I use Vobedit or ifoedit? Any help please?

Dre,

It sounds like a title pointer problem which alot of people have when spliting dvd's in ifoedit, including me :) The solution that has been found is going into the PTT_SRPTI in the main movie .IFO

Under their you must edit TTU_1 PTTs: I have found that making sure the Program Number PG matches with what chapters that are on the disc works for me. eg. PTT_1 = 1, PTT_2 = 2, etc...

Here is a thread that talks about that issue more in detail
