I've used these and they are fine.....I will say to all the Bulkpaq haters out there (and there are many)....I've just finished a pack of 25 Bulkpaq Gen 4 2x disks and didn't have one failure, burning at 2x.
Finished disks have worked on all machines , including some fussy ones (Samsung 709 & PS2) when burned from an Image.
I have to say that these are now my disk of choice as I can get them for 70p each.
If you were 'burned' (pardon the pun) with the Gen 3 Bulkpaq's then give these new ones a go as they are spot on.

The Bulkpaq Gen 4 2x DVD's always go funny 80% of the way into a film for me, i have a pioneer 1o4 , I was a Bulkpaq hater until i got some Gen 3 (r2) - ( purple in colour ) , i have a 95% Success rate now.

The Datasafe Classics are certainly stamped as TDKG02, I checked one. What that means I'm not sure, many people have had success with them, but not me.
According to some posts I've read, manufacturers are stamping their discs as TDKG02 in order to get 2x even though they are not TDK discs. Wether or not this has any basis in fact I don't know. It might just be a load of rubbish. Although one guy on a forum claimed Pioneer support told him this over the phone. Is it true? I don't know, all I know is that after only 1 successful burn out of a pack of 10 discs, I'm not gonna be using ANY discs stamped as TDKG02.

Bulbak Gen 3 (violett) which are TDK-R1 does not play fine in my PS2. Pixelisations at the end of the movie.
I had good results on PS2 with TDK-R2 burned @X1, but this is only my personal experience.

I've just got 50 of these discs, burnt my first 2 yesterday, no problem at all. I only burn at X1 times though. I use a Pioneer A104.
I've Datasafe disc for some time now and found them to be fairly reliable, I've had a few "compatability" issues with Monsters Inc, but I think it was more the rip than anything. Other than that, I burned over 30 discs, with only the odd freeze (and that was on the PS2) Pioneer 444 plays ALL discs.
Bottom line, if you want a good cheap disc, this is definately one of the better ones to go for.

apparently
the stampers have codes built into them.
Some tiawan company has copied the TDKG02 stamper
and so TDKG02 s are now produced by anyone with
enough money to buy one. Thats why there are so
many different disks with different dyes all
having this ID.
Since th 2x 4 all firmware release it no longer
really matters what speed rating the DVD-r media has.
I got 90 White Label 2x DVD-r media that would not
burn properly at any speed.
My DataWrite Classic work perfectly at 2x

Well datasafe and datawrite are the same dvdr, they both write at 2x. i have used about 200 of these and have had only 2 duff ones as far as i can remember. and i think that was my own fault too.
Traxdatas were my favourite but as there only 1x it takes to long to burn. these datawrite/datasafe burn at 2x and play perfect all the way through. and belive me my 2 dvd players are super fussy about dvdrs.
