Sup everyone!!!
I want to know where I can buy a Beta SP Recorder/Player (the deck not the camera) Cheap maybe wholesale or used. I already tried eBay for used ones. I just bought a 3/4 Editing workstation with Waveform/Vector Monitor. I Still need Beta SP & DV Deck (that plays all 3 type of DV Tapes).
Thanks for any info.!!!

ok, SP or SP Digital?
and for 'all three types of DV' i guess you mean miniDV, DV-CAM and DVCPRO50?
in that case you would want to look at the Sony J series decks or similar, which are professional gear and you'd have to find a pro video shop for them (or even see if a hire place has some oldish ones to sell).

The J series is very nice, easy to use & easy to automate (compared to the normal recorders). (Apart from the fact I had to get a seperate splitter to get the digital audio out of the SDI ;) ).

Thanks for the replys bros!!! :)
I need Beta SP & the DV Deck. Yes, I was talking about miniDV, DV-CAM and DVCPRO50. So I need to buy these two decks that can play & record these formats. I am interested in the J series for the dv deck, does it play all 3 formats? Do you guys know of any Wholesalers that sell this kind of equipment?
Thanks again!!! I appreciate it very much! :)

i think you are looking at 3, maybe 4 decks, depending on whether you want to do SP or SP Digital as well.
as far as i know, you cant get a DV deck that will support DVCPro50 as well as DVCAM, but there are DVCAM decks that play MiniDV (not microdv) tapes fine (Sony DHR1000 is a VCR that supports minidv and dvcam).
as for retailers, i know a few, but not near you ;)

(i think) Betacam SP Digital is incompatible with Betacam SP; but it has 4ch audio support (like DVCam). other differences id be guessing at, ie better quality, cleaner signal.

There is no BetacamSP Digital only "Digital Betacam"(Sony) it records 10bit, 4:2:2, YUV, DCT-Compressed (~2:1),4xPCM-Audio 48kHz/20bit+1xanalog audio (CUE). It is the #1 SD broadcast mastering standard in the world. Some machines can play back Betacam (not consumer: Beta), BetacamSP and Digibeta.
Only Panasonics D5 is better (10bit, 4:2:2:,YUV, NO compression)
