cffl file that excludes fist vob - possible?

I'm trying to backup a movie that is just beyond 4.37 after stripping all the extras. When I rempeg it creates a jittery picture even at 90%. I've read that this can result from the logo at the beginning of vob one - same vob ID so I can't strip it. Could I create a cffl with only vobs 2-6, rempeg them and then remux using ifoedit so that the uncompressed vob 1 would be mixed with the resampled vobs 2-6?

Anyone tried this? Before I dedicate 8 hours to the experiment I just thought I'd check with the experts.

The cffl file only refers to files, not vobid's. Unless you can manage to get the unwanted material into another file using a vob tool.
Starting ReMPEG2 at a file boundary is not a good idea, usually produces a few frames of green blocks.

So would that be a yes? I can create a partial cffl to resample vobs 2-6 and then remux with vob 1, but would end up with a few frames of green blocks when the transition from original to resampled occurs?

A few frames (seconds) of green blocks I can handle, that would be better than a jittery picture throughout which is what rempeg keeps giving me on this one movie.

You can split them by chapters using Smartripper, for example from chapter 1- 4(a set of vobs) and from 5 to 20 (the rest). Then ReMpeg ...

Well you need to cut off the first GOP key.
Such program is already available, but it's for Unix/Linux.
Had e-mail correspondence with Derrow about this.
If I understand him well, a GOPCHOP feature will become available in VOBEdit, only he didn't say me when.

There is also a program called XP Chopper.
With this program you can chop of parts of a VOB file, however, if you examine the chopped VOB later with VOBEdit, you will see that the VOB file doesn't start with a NAVPACK.
If you try to make IFO's with Ifoedit or VOBEdit for this 'chopped' file, they both refuse because the VOB file doesn't start with a NAVPACK, and they both shut down to avoid a system crash.
It's up to Derrow, and we all just have to wait,
