View Full Version : Addition of chapters in Maestro

patch2010

Hi all

I am used to using TMPGEnc with IFOedit. Making the template in IFOEdit then loading it into TMPGEnc. I have now moved over to Maestro so have dropped IFOEdit and i no longer create the template for TMPGEnc.

Since i use chapter Extractor to pull the chapter points out and add them to Maestro i am wondering if i might get issues. If TMPGEnc decides where the I frames are and i import chapters from the IFO files would that not mean there might be a difference between the chapter points and the I frames of the M2v file?

Many thanks

Cheers,

when you import the chapter list file, Maestro *should* translate the points to the nearest I frame.

they dont make coasters. U ll most problably have your chapters off by half second the most. To some this is not acceptable. In some movies it is definately not acceptable. However u can try and set the properties of Maestro's chapter line to the nearest GOP and not to the next or previous.

yes, that was what i was implying, i could remember which of the three (prev, nearest, next) was the default for importing chapter points.

maestro will not let you put chapter points on anywhere other than an I frame, so the SHOULD shouldnt be a coaster ;)
