Hi all,
well, I just saw that new builds of flask have been released, and I'd like to know if it is any better than virtualdub + avisynth to encode movies.
Thanks
PS : Sorry if I'm not in the right forum, but I didn't know where to post.

All-in-one programs will NEVER be as good as doing everything manually because they make all the choices for you. The reason why Avisynth->VDub will always be better is because you have complete control over every single aspect of encoding.
Now, if all you want is push a botton and have your movie ready a few hours later without having to think what you're doing, then programs like Flask or Vidomi can be adequate for your case. But once you realise that one single way of encoding is not going to be ideal for every movie you'll also realise that more control can give you better quality.
Ps. Why did you not post this in the thread in General Discussion that talks about Flask? Seems like a logical place for this post to me.
