Mr. Experts,

I'm testing the "Author new DVD" function in the newest(?) 0.95 Pre 2 but I've found a problem with more than a "multiplexing" :
when I rip two AC3 audio stream from one DVD often I get a delay of ~ 12300 msec between the main audio stream (usually English) and a secondary audio stream (in my case Italian) because in the film the first "animated logo" (es. Warner Home Video) is in common for both streams and THEN it changes to the language you have chosen. The result is that I get two AC3 file where one is a bit smaller (about 12 seconds) than the other. I've solved the problem because when I add the secondary language in Ifoedit I assign it a 12500 msec. of delay. Now I get to my real problem: when I add the "Subpicture" stream it has the same delay of the secondary audio stream, even if I chose "English" as language.

Do you know if it is possible to delay the subpitcture as well?
I've used the "author" functin for a lot of DVDs but I've found this problem only with "Warner Home Video" ones.

Another small question: I've found that when I use the "scene changes / chapter" as well, the player (software & hardware) stops between the chapters and I have to press "next chapter" button...

Thank you in advance for your help

Alex :p

hi,

check if the warner logo has its own vob id. if so, strip it away.
and start your authoring with the new set of vobs.

regards,

mike

The subpicture can't be delayed seperatly.
My authoring function adjusts the subpicture time-stamps to the video-timestamps.

This means, if you specify a negative audio-delay, IfoEdit will multiplex the video and subpicture with that delay.
