Well, I try this soft and was quite impressed. Nothing to do with a real authoring tool, but a nice solution to put various video files on a DVD with a simple menu.
You just need to drag and drop the AVI, MPG, ASF whatever to the tool, set your quality to bas, medium, or good and that's all !
It makes a full set of VOB+IFO ready to burn, MPEG2 encoded (+ PCM 2.0 for the sound), in a quite short time.
Easy and fast to put some DIVX XXX movies or things like that on a DVD.
Also, sometimes it just hang in the middle of the encoding of a movie, without any warning. You need to kill it, and the second time you do it, it froze the same way at the same point.. A nice error message would have be appreciated.
If futur versions use mp2 instead of PCM for audio and let you choose the bitrate instead of the 3 quality settings it would be great.
Another improvement should be to keep MPG1 to mpg1 DVD compatible instead of transcoding to mpeg2.
