Anybody backed this up successfully? I have used the ifoUpdate Maestro CCE multiPGC method and compressed both versions of the movie and the documentary to get it under 4.37GB. Everything went very smoothly and the disk plays fine in IfoEdit and PowerDVD but on my standalone it plays the Pathe movies intro and then stops before the menu comes on, any thoughts?

It worked for me first time no problems:
1. dvd decrypter, all files
2. Ifo edit strip stream main movie, 5.1 sound english only
3. burned to one DVDR using Primo.
No menus no extras.
Unless I'm really interested I prefer to get it onto one DVD and lose extras than have to split

I mainly ripped the entire disk to try the multipgc backup process, but what I really don't understand is that it plays fine in IfoEdit but not my standalone. Up until now if it has worked in IfoEdit it works on the standalone.

Which standalone are you using?
I had 2 old Samsung 709's which were very fussy and cost me £200 at the time and when they do play backup DVD videos they always jump in places.
Paid £100 for samsung DVD-S224 2 months ago and it plays everything without a single jump.
I think the actual standalone used is at least as important as much of the technical stuff discussec on these forums

It's definitely not my player, it's an ALBA DVD 114 from argos for 70 notes plays absolutely everything, including rw's. Only thing it doesn't like is Nero burns.

Well I have fixed it. I made an image file with IfoEdit and burned that and lo and behold it now works. I have no idea why this is the case perhaps one of the god like mods on here could explain. Cheers.
