rempeg produces jittery picture

I'm trying to backup a 5gig movie to a DVD+R, I rip it with DVD Decrypter, strip out audio and extras with ifoedit and create my cffl file. I use rempeg to compress the movie and set the ratio at 85%, 720x480, "match source" same thing I always do. When I remux and view the new vobs the picture quality is great, but it frequently skips frames and seems jumpy. I have compressed vobs to 67% before and had great results, so this seems odd. Any thoughts?

I have had this jerking effect with ReMpeg before. I my case it was the Warner Brother logo at the beginning of the movie. Something about the logo being interlaced and the movie being progressive. I had to remove the beginning Vob id, and then re-encode the movie.
