I'm sorry I forgot to include this question in my previous post.
I have a ripped a DVD -- Monster Incorporated, with SmartRipper2.41 some days ago. Recently I used DVD2SVCD to encode it to SVCD, the audio lags behind the video for about 1 to 2 seconds. Could anyone please tell me if there is any way to solve the problem? Thanks!

First of all you should only use the internal rippers in dvd2svcd. It is known problem that smartripper can cause audio sync problems. Is the audio constantly lagging behind or does it gradually get worse?

The audio constantly lags behind, not gradually. And I'm afraid I cannot rip the DVD again since I have lost it. I wonder if there is still any solution other ripping the DVD again?

Probably not.
You may have one shot and if this doesn't work then you know why we say don't use any other rippers, but the two included.
Make sure ripping is checked and set DVD2SVCD to work in a diectory different from the ones the current Vob's are located. Then using DVD2SVCD select the already ripped VOB files on the HD, re-rip them and continue from there. You will need a very large disc since you will end up with 2 copies of the VOB's, but once DVD2SVCD has finished re-ripping them you can erase the originals.
If this doesn't work then you will have to find another way other then DVD2SVCD to convert these VOB files.

Oh, I have tried re-ripping it, but it didn't work. Now I fully understand why I shouldn't use external rippers!
Anyway, thank you very much for your suggestion.

All may not be lost. If the video is constantly the same rate behind you can adjust the video delay with the advanced tab under BBmeg. Unfortunately you will have some playtime since it's a very fine adjustment to get right and will probably take you more then a few tries. Start with maybe 240 as the video delay.
Just use recover and make sure you do your bbmpeg adjustments after you laod the d2s file or they will all revert to the old settings.

Thank you very much! Now the audio and video are syncrhonized. However, the subtitle lags behind for 1 second. Is there any way to adjust subtitle?

Sorry I have no experience with subs. I just never use them.

I know he's solved his problem and all, but I so far haven't had to any particular problems using Smartripper to rip VOB files. I guess it's hit/miss?

@Turbinator: You're one of a lucky few that haven't had trouble with SmartRipper. You're also asking for trouble, because sooner or later you will encounter it. The point of the recommendation is that 99.9% of the time, either Internal Routines or vStrip will work, and they don't cause problems. So why take the chance and use something else? And the fact that SmartRipper is not integrated into D2S somewhat defeats the automation the tool provides... In any case, do what you want, the best results are formed with practice.
