Hi!
I have ripped Ice Age (German) and there are several VTS_x_0.VOB Files with a Filesize of zero bytes. I had this on some movies before, too. I did all with IfoEdit and CCE and it works fine testing with PowerDVD. But when i trie to burn it with Stomp RecorNow on my Pioneer A04 i got the Errormessage "Error -10 at Sector 16 -Command:2A Sense:..."
I think it must be this zero byte files, because i have a rip of Fantastic Voyage which fits perfect into one 4.3GB DVDr without changing anything - and there i got this error too when i was trying to burn this unchanged rip!
Did anyone have a clue or workarround for this. I tried to generat just a Fake Vob with a small trailer and one PGC - but it displays the same error!

0 Kb files gaves me trouble with my standalone player and even some burning tools.
So I just take a 17 Kb VOB file from another DVD and simply copy/rename.
Works fine

I tried this too. I generated just a simple VOB File with scenarist and put them as this zero byte file, but Stomp Record puts out this Errormessage. Which Burning Program do you use?

You can delete these 0 bytes vob. I always do that because if you do Get VTS sectors with Ifo edit and 0 bytes VOBīs youīre gonna have a bad disc in the standalone.
ALWAYS delete these vobīs and do GET VTS Sectors

I use Gear DVD pro, but FilipeAmadeuO point on the right thing, you need a Get VTS sector to correct addresses of files once you change vobs.
And yes 0 Kb files probably gives some troubles with the get vts function, setting 2 files at the same position...

For burning a DVD under 4.7GB then all I use personally is ...
Smartripper 2.41
(no need for IfoEdit 0.94 here)
Nero 5.5.9.9 (just drag & drop everything into VIDEO_ folder)
when asked in Nero - hit - burn without multisession <--- and away you go with a totally successful burn that SHOULD also play in your stand-alone player !
Peace out :D

Klona is right. Just delete the 0 bytes Vobīs and do a GET VTS sectors in Ifoedit or Ifoupdate

Hi JJF007,
I also ripped Ice Age this weekend and I had this 0KB files too!
But when I have burnt them with RecordNow Max 4.1 I got no ErrorMessage and everything works fine in my Stand-alone! :)

That's weird, because my Sony actually required that I had a correct filecount.... I.E. If I removed a VTS title, I actually had to CREATE a 0 byte VOB, do a GET VTS SECTORS, or my Sony would not play it. I did this with Ice Age R1 where I removed the fullscreen version, and replaced it with VTS_08_1.VOB thru VTS_08_4.VOB all of 0 bytes. The Sony would not play the disk without some type of VOB representing this title....

'Could you post or email me the correct list of files, as keep 'getting a invalid file format error on ICE AGE, this has never 'happened to me before. Had 1k Vobs in there but that didn't seem to work. Maybe I went vob crazy and made too many...
Anyway thanks for the help, and for confirming my sanity for one more day.

OK answered my own questions, not only did I have to fill in for the missing 0byte vob's ---they had to be 0 bytes, the one bytes didn't work nor did the 17, had to be 0...STRANGE
