How can I determine which IFO file controls the menu links

This is going to be rather lenghty for my first post so bear with me please:
I'm copying a DVD series for my sister (yes, my sister) Pride and Prejudice. Disc 1 gave me some problems but I figure them out. Disc 2 is becoming quite a challenge. This is what's going on: VTS_01_1 has three vob id's: 1 has the FBI waring which I stripped, 2 has the A&E intro and 3 is a behind the scenes short. I stripped everything fine and the movie plays OK except that now I'm having problems with the Feature link on the DVD. I keep getting "Illegal DVD navigation." From prio experience I just startted digging around the IFO files because I though that sooner or latter I would run into the correct portion of the IFO fils that controled the links, right? not this time. This DVD must've been coded by a very deranged and sick person because I can't find the appropriate part to edit. The feature was supposed to belong to VOBID3 so I started hunting for anything with 3 to edit it but I couldn't find it. I lost about 4hrs of sleep and have a massive migrane because of this that it's hard for me to even type this post. I want this to work mostly for the learning experience. Any suggestions at all are very welcome.

I had somewhat of a similiar situation when trying to delete out the FBI warning and production logo at the begining of The Transformers Movie. It ended up throwing off the navigation of the feature menu. What I ended up doing was leaving all that in and just changing the Pre-command under the PGC Command Table to jump to the root menu. It leaves the IFO intact and doesnt disrupt any progam chains but still allows you to jump passed all of that and go directly to the root menu or movie.

Open the VIDEO_TS.IFO and double click the VMGM_MAT and go to the First Play PGC. Scroll down untill you see PGC Command Table. Also, it is detailed here in doom9 guides under the "Copying a DVD-9 to 2 DVD±Rs"

Thanks OXV. I was already contemplating this as a solution but wanted to see someone else's experience before doing this.
