Hi Folks!
I Have Been Compiling Vcd/Svcd/divx For Around 2 Years Now And Have Had Lots Of Success With Appz Like (dvd2svcd,TMPGEnc,CCE,Virtualdub Etc.
Then I Got Myself A Dvd Writer,I Then Worked With New Appz Like Maestro,Spruce,Ifoedit,Etc And Have Compiled Over 90 Dvd Creating Animated Menu's Chapters And Extras On Some.The Problem I Have Is This, I Joined This Forum About A Week Ago I Have Done Lots Of Reading(and learned a lot more)Of The Best Way To Create An Exact Backup Copy Of A Dvd And I Have Had No Success,With Audio Sync,What I Have Used:Ifoedit,TMPGEnc,CCE,Rempeg,Following Derrow's Guides For Ifoedit And Doom9 Guides For The Rest(They Are All Excelent Appz Do Not Get Me Wrong)But I Just Cant Get The Movie To Sync.Someone Mentioned To Split/Remove The Copyright/Fbi Warning At The Begining Of The Movie As This Is What Throws The Movie Out Of Sync Sorry! Does Not Work For Me.Has Anyone Any Info What Could Be The Problem??

Are you having this problem only when using Maestro and a ripped AC3 soundtrack, or is your problem more widespread than that?

If i demux m2v and ac3 and load them to Maestro and then add all extras being demuxed as well i never have any problems with sync(even keeping all copyright/warnings,as i mentioned i have compiled over 90 movies and all are 100%.but they are not an exact backup copy of the original they look similiar,but also they take a long time to compile if there is a lot of extras(this is where i thought ifoedit was the app for me.example of previous backup of Gladiator Sp Edition(2cds)that took me about a week to rebuild all the animated menus/extras...
the problem i seem to have is i rip the full dvd using dvd decrypter to Hd then i use Ifoedit,load the first VTS_01_0.IFO,create an Rempeg 2 *.cffl,then i load this to rempeg once,it's scanned i adjust the scale/output res and hit encode given an output *.m2v.
once completed i use ifoedit and put it back into the original vobs.
i have done this trying all versions of ifoedit,resulting in an excelent full backup of the original ,but out of sync.i have tried this with most of the other guides mentioned.i actully prefer to do the conversion using CCE method as this was very quick for me(2hr of movie transcoded in 4 hr)but was actully more out of sync than with rempeg.I will tell you one way i have 80% managed to stop the sync.i demux the *.m2v & *.ac3,transcode the *.m2v,compile them in maestro once done(delete the bup and ifo files that maestro created leaving just the vobs i then add all the other ifo and extra vobs from the original rip and presto load the video_ts ifo into power dvd and all works but with small problems.IE:chapters are all screwed up also it starts to play about 2 minutes of the movie then it goes to the menu.i then created new ifo's to see if this was maybe a prob but it never changed anything.
