DVD decrypter for PS2

I dont know who all knows this,but, DVD decrypter to me is the one of the best programs of the year ,great work Lightning!!

This not only works excellent for movies (like it was intended) but works GREAT for PS2 images and burning, "backups" of course=)

How did you rip a PS2 game image using DVDDecryter ?
It tells me "disc not dvd" and cannot see any files in the CD.

By using "ISO" mode, not file mode:)

Perhaps the disc you are doing isnt a dvd. In which case, just use a normal cd burning program.

Lightning, your program kicks ass(destroys SmartRipper), one question: I would love it even more if it could do the mentioned above: Extract a cd iso and CD burning. Is this possibile to add this? Call it CD/DVD decrypter? The reason im asking is that its so much easier and convienent than other apps. Thanks in advance for any response.

No problem sur131, let us know. I like to help others on here any way I can. Another "cool" trick on PS2 is to rip with DVD Decrypter, burn to DVD-RW Then when your finished with the game, erase it! Saves money on DVD-R's and is great for those sports games that come out every year. Oh yeah then of course, sell the "original". Heh.

use Nero to write and burn images. it's pretty much just a couple of mouse clicks, you don't need extensive knowledge for it. besides, you should be using Nero anyways for CD burning, it can't be beat ($50, or free by other means ~~> not that i encourage stealing).

Overacid (cool name by the way) Nero is fine, trust me, I love Nero myself. Ive had it for a couple of years and still use it often!! Its just that Nero CANT rip (or want to burn) DVD images and DVD Decrypter opens quicker and is EVEN easier/convienent to use right after ripping.

Steel I have a question about PS2 backups.

I am using DVD Decrypter 3.1.2.0
Set “Mode” to “ISO Read” and burned to HD and got two files:
SPIDERMAN.ISO 2,965,216 KB ISO File
SPIDERMAN.MDS 5 KB MDS File
Set DVD Decrypter “Mode” to “ISO Write”
It asked to selected file. I choose the ISO file above and burned on DVD-R

The original and backup are exact same size and same files. But when I try and use in PS2 it freezes up in Game Shark when loading.

What is the MDS file for and do I need it?
Any suggestions on my method?

you can prolly find it for $10 from local mom and pop computer stores... then you dont' have to worry about a blacklisted CDKEY. i gave up finding new CDKeys and almost bought it, but ended up using the version that came with my dad's Yammy (i have a yamaha, too) and ripped the key from the registry...
