Hi I´m new at this and I was making a svcd with dvd2svcd from a downloaded avi divx file.

when I convert dvd´s no problem they look fine but when I convert divx avis sometimes I get horizontal lines on the edges of things especially when Its a fast scene.

I supposed that it had something to do with interlace (even though I dont have a clue to what it is) and I encoded only a few seconds with the blendfields option, and it worked. the movie was fixed.

my question is whats is the difference between samartdeinterlace and blendfields, and which one is better for my divx movies for svcd. my sistem is a ntsc system.

and what the hell is interlace.

thanks.
