When doing a dvd rip that is 16:9 TMPGENC encodes the movie in 2 pass at normal settings in 7 hours, and looks perfect. When I load a movie that is 4:3 to be encoded as 4:3 TMPGENC freezes and shows like 19 hours?
What could be causing this to happen? I thought it was just a currupt file, but then I tried the exact same movie and instead of letting DVD2SVCD choose the resolution, I changed it from the loaded 4:3 encoded as 4:3 TOO 16:9 to be encoded with borders as 4:3.. It tmpgenc then ran in 7 hours like before and it turned out ok but there is some pixelation and the screen looks squashed...
Does anyone know why tmpgenc will not encode a 4:3 movie for me to 4:3????

Sorry I should have stated, all these trials and errors are with DVD2SVCD and Tmpgenc(latest version, I have 2.5 also but did not try that yet?)
The encoding resolutions I am speaking about are when dvd2svcd loads the ifo file.
