Hi There!
I have a little question on encoding somne m2v FIles to a (or several) SVCDs.
Basically I just would like the same thing that DVD2SVCD does - give it my m2v Files and Encode it into 2 70 Minutes CD-Rs.
I have already "converted" the FIles with DVD2Avi, but can anybody tell me where I get the infromation for the Bitrate, or how I can tell CCE to encode it into a specified number of CDs?
Or do I need another step in between?
Thnx alot for you help!

Get the VCDHelp bitrate Calculator : http://www.vcdhelp.com/calc.htm
I always use it to calculate my bitrate. There might be better calcs, but it's the 1st one I've tried and it gave me whole satisfaction.

FitCD is a great bitrate calculator, very accurate. It might seem a bit complicated at first, but it's still a great one.

Okay, now I can caluclate the Bitrate - but how do I cut the MPEG Files the best way?
To be honest, I found the MPEG Tools in TMEPGEnc, but I'm not quite sure how to cut - merging is no problem, but the cut-function I can't user (perhaps I'm too stupid ;-) )
Thnx alot

You can fit 800 MB mpg on a 80 min/700 MB CD when burning it as SVCD. You need to multiplex the video (m2v or mpv) with the audio (m2a, mpa or mp2) to SVCD-compliant mpg. The best multiplexer is bbmpeg where you also can set it up to cut when the filesize reaches a value, like 800 MB per CD. This is useful if you want to split one movie over several CD's. Then burn it as SVCD with VCDEasy or Nero.

Another way of doing this.
1. Use the bitrate from FitCD you got and calculate which frame is the last frame in the first CD.
2. Use Trim in AviSynth.
3. Encode with CCE.
In this way, you've already cut the movie so you don't need to demux, then cut, and mux again like the previous method.
