OK,
FIrst I was up till 1 in the morning last night trying searches here, so I exhausted that option. Heres my issue...
When I use DVD2SVCD and use Tmpgenc, I get a totally perfect SVCD. I mean NO macro noise no motion noise and absolutely no audio sync trouble what so ever...
When I use CCE and choose 4 pass but I do NOT tweek it at all as far as other settings. I leave that alone as I am still new to CCE. Any rate, it looks so so. The sound is great but I see imperfections in the video? Like motion noise and choppines? Now people rate CCE hands down against Tmpgenc... But so far Tmpgenc has given me ever single time great SVCD's and I mean people that see them think they are actually DVD's... Someone saw one of my CCE svcds and noticed the noise motion right away....
Heres the problem. DVD2SVCD runs great. The other night I tried to convert Mr. Deeds, and TMPGENC stopped responding. It sucked all 500 megs of ram down to nothing and the time left was not moving at all...
So I tried to re-encode it again using dvd2svcd and it did it again. I was so torqued that I just choose CCE and 4 pass. And like I thought I can see noise unlike Tmpgenc?
I notice that Tmpgenc freezes when the movie is 4:3 to be encoded as 4:3. When its 16:9 to be encoded as 4:3 with borders it runs fine in 7 hours. I did sleepy hollow(I know a tad bit older movie) and it came out perfect.16:9 encoded as 4:3 with borders. I like the letterbox look, even though I am giving up 8 inches totall on my tv. I can live with it.
Can anyone offer me any insight? Or info? I am stummped why Tmpgenc froze...
