Bitrate Settings in ProjectFile

Hi,

i have written a application which starts DVD2SVCD automatically after grabbing a stream from my dvb box.

But i don´t know how to handle the bitrate settings.
i can´t manage it like D2S with many time settings because i don´t know the bitrate calculating algorithm.

so i decided to show a dialog where the user can enter an average bitrate. can i handle this with the projectfile?

ps: does anybody have a better idea to manage the bitrate settings in my application?

If you are using DVD2SVCD it has it's own bitrate calc built in. I don't see the need for an external one as well.
All you need to do is adjust the settings to suite your range of video lengths and then it should be a good template for most of the videos you input. You can even customize it to closely resemble your typical video input. These settings stay even after closing.

If this doesn't help it might help us if you explain why you need an external bitrate calc as well as an internal one.

Also it was said in the previous thread that Fitcd's calcs are very close to those of DVD2SVCD and that is open source.

dvd2svcd is not open source so you would not be able to get that type of info unless dvd2svcd himself wants to give it out. Like markrb stated fitcd is the way to go for an external bitrate calculator
