Speed is nice. But why should anyone use it over Xmpeg? YUV is nice, but it is an old trick. Seems as if flask is just the last kid on the block to get it. Xmpeg has been known to crash faster than Flask. So does Flask now crash as fast as Xmpeg or has someone managed to squash some of the many bugs in the Flask code? ;) :devil:

Even with YUV processing and all the to do stuff laid out I am still a bit unclear what the purpose or intentions for the future are in trying to resurect flask. :confused: In the to do list I see nothing to make it better or differentiate it from the other generally ineffective all in one softwares. I also saw no mention of encoding automation or scripting. 2-pass MPEG4 tools. Or intended support for anything but the dying AVI format. Does anyone know if there are plans to support MP4, OGG, or MCF when it is ready? :o

I suppose that before any of that can be done the bugs do have to be ironed out. And that could be a daunting task indeed.

Anyone with more info on this project?
