If I use a short mpeg movie as Title Picture, will DVD2SVCD alter the bitrates so that the movie will still fit on a CD or do I have to do it manually?
And also, if using Cinema Craft with multipass vbr, does the program still make the movie fit on a CD as with cbr?

Hello!
1) DVD2SVCD wont do it automatically. You have to adjust CD-Size in the bitrate - tab, if you donīt want to overburn. But keep in mind, that in the current version you have to do this for all cds, you use. So the 2nd and maybe the 3rd cd wont be filled to the limit.

2)Yes, for multipass its also possible to define the exact average bitrate, just like for cbr. So DVD2SVCD will calculate it absolutely correct.

As far as I know the title picture calculation is done for a still and it very well may mess up if you are using something larger. I don't even know if that is possibile within DVD2SVCD.
If you are concerened about filesize then simply drop the CD size on the bitrate tab a few MB's and then you can add your own title mpg without worry of it being too big.

DVD2SVCD's calculations are accurate when using CBR and multi-pass VBR almost all the time. There are occaional issues with 1-Pass VBR.
Keep in mind if you check the Min Avg check box on the Bitrate tab all bets are off. So leave that unchecked.

Please make your title better reflect the post. In this case maybe "Questions about Title Pic and bitrate calculations." or something like it. We want to know what is in a post.
