poblem with Divx to DVD conversion

Hallo all,

I have a little problem.
I'd like to convert a Divx movie to dvd, when I import the avi movie tmpgenc says that the lenght of movie is 352 minutes, but this is a wrong size, the real lenght is 120 minutes and the size of the final movie results longer than 4,7 giga.

Please help me.

The size (4.7 GB) is entirely credible. It's a matter of birate.

The length is a different matter. Instead of putting it directly to TmpgEnc try frameserving from VD or via Avisynth and see if the problem remains. Get the sound the second time around for instance by "save wav" in VD and focus on video first.

This is due to the VBR audio in the DivX movie. Open up the DivX file in VirtualDub. In the Audio menu, choose Full Processing Mode. The in the File menu, choose Save Wave.

Now open the DivX file in TMPGEnc but for the audio portion, choose the .wav file you created. You should now have the correct length for that video, and you shouldn't have any problems getting your output bitrate correct.
