VCDXBuild Problem, please help!

K,
I did a search on this forum for this problem, and found that most people who have this error usually name their directories incorectly. I named my directory just 'dvd'. I used DVD2SVCD to try to make 'The Matrix'. It created 2 .mpg files just fine, first was 805mb other one however was 1.05GB, which is kinda weird. Anyways, than dvdxbuild made a .bin and .cue file of the first .mpg, however, i got an error when it tried to make .cue and .bin of the 2nd .mpg (the 1.05gb) file. I attached the .log file, hopefully someone can help me! :(
This never happened to me, and I cant figure out why the 2nd .mpeg was soo big. :scared:

please dont attach log files, copy and paste them. Sounds like you did a 1 pass vbr but i wont know this until i see your log:D

It could also happen if you had Min Avg checked and that we won't see in the log though.

well your not doing a 1 pass so thats not the problem like markrb said check to see if you have your Min Avg checked its under the bitrate tab, make sure thats not checked.

Your movie is 135 min long, and you made it on two disks with avg bitrate of 1700, so there are two possibilities:
1) There is an error in the bitrate calculation of DVD2SVCD
2) You have checked min.avg. with an value of 1700

I tend to believe the second version. ;)
Post you 'dvd2svcd project file.d2s' so we can check your settings, but I'm quite sure you have checked min.avg.

Please double and triple check to make sure Min Avg is not checked, it's on the bitrate tab at the bottom.
According to the log the movie is over 136 minutes and at that size for 2 cd's the bitrate should be at around 1300 not 1700 where it was set. It's also very hard to get an exact number like that. Even numbers are rare unless set.

If it isn't checked I would do the whole thing over making sure it is not checked on the bitrate tab. This time right before you load the IFO hit default on the Bitrate tab and only change the cd size.

For that length of movie though I would recomend either making it 3 cd's or changing over to make a VCD. 1300 Kbit video is very low.
