I'm trying to rip a music video off a DVD and can't get it to work right because DVD2SVCD always cuts a couple of seconds off the beginning. how do you fix that?

did you authenticate the dvd in powerdvd or windvd before ripping?
Stratyon
24th October 2002, 20:39
Yes. With PowerDVD

Well that would lead me to believe that you have a bad install of the aspi driver, have you tried to reinstall your aspi? try this link if your not sure http://www.dvd2svcd.org

I have heard of this before and it has happened to me when the video starts near the end of a VOB.
Play the ripped VOB in PowerDVD or WinDVD and see if it's all been ripped.
If it has then play the encoded_video.mpv as well and see if it's all there.
If it is then check the BBmpeg_Muxed_file.mpg.

yeah i seen that, one of the reasons i was thinking it was an aspi or he wasen't unlocking the dvd. Until he comes back and lets us know what his findings are i guess were going to have to wait:D

Whoooo! It works now :-D
It actually was the offset thingy...
*feels stupid now* :-P
The weird thing was that the aspi drivers made the program work better, but it didn't have any effect on the output...
Oh well... at least now I don't get error messages all the time.
Thanx for the help everyone :-)
