Hello

I’m making the back-up of a DVD-5. I read somewhere that with this kind of DVD, the “get vts sectors” button from IFOedit must do nothing, but with this DVD, the get vts sectors works and make many changes. What must I do? Burn the original files I’ve ripped or burn the new files after “get vts sectors”? I want the disc to play on a standalone player.

Thank you very much

Use a DVD-RW or +RW and check it out yourself, to see what will work for you.

get vts vectors is used when you alter the files that are supposed to be on the original disk. As a simple rule of thumb, if you press the button and if it doesn't make modifications, then you are ok to burn whatever is in the directory. If it makes mods then save it......it should work on standalone. Remember if you goof up and leave out stuff that's supposed to be in your directory then this won't work.

As for dvd-5 as long as you didn't split from a dvd-9 or take out files from original dvd-5 you shouldn't have to do vts sectors.
